I am FIVE YEARS OLD!

Wow, did I have a fun birthday party! I love to eat at The Cracker Barrel, and I told Mama that I wanted to have my party there with the Cracker Barrel man. At first she didn't know what I was talking about, but I told her the Cracker Barrel man is the man on the sign (if you look closely at the Cracker Barrel sign in front of the restaurant you will know what I am talking about!) So, what did my Mama and Daddy do? They found the Cracker Barrel man! He played his banjo at my party. We had lots of fun and I enjoyed dancing to the music as you will soon see. Mama made me a "cupcake tree" and I had lots of great presents to open. Thank you to our friends the Rakestraws, the Richardsons, my bestest friend WYLE Richardson, and Drew Richardson and his girlfriend Miss Melissa for joining us! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

My Mama went to New York City!

My Mama went to New York City since that's how she wanted to celebrate her 40th birthday (yes, I know you thought she was 30, but surprise, surprise!) with her good friend Angie Stoecker. They did lots of fun things as you will see in these pictures, and this isn't even everything! Maybe Mama will take me with her next time because she said there is lots for little boys to do there, but we are going to Disney World in October and that sounds like more fun to me than some big ole' city!

Rockefeller Center

Mama and Angie went to Good Morning America on Friday morning, August 31 and got to to inside the studio. They saw George Stephanapoulus, Elizabeth Vargas, Wolfgang Puck, and had a picture made with Billy Ray Cyrus (hey, he's famous again now! :)

Absolutely no "touristy" things were included on this trip -

Times Square!

Ground Zero

Mary Poppins on Broadway was a highlight of the trip. Mama says it is the most amazing show she has ever seen!

Pizza in Little Italy. When you have walked 100 miles in one day you are entitled to a whole pizza:

My first day of school!

I am a new student at the Pre-K Center and I love it! We do all sorts of fun things. I love my new teacher, Mrs. Norton. Her para-pro is Mrs. Horton! But, we call her Mrs. H so it won't be too confusing. I am learning new things and having fun at my "big boy school." We went to the Open House and I didn't want to leave! I had fun dressing up in real fire-fighter's uniform. Mrs. Norton's husband is a real fire-fighter! I had fun playing in the "kitchen" with my friend Aubrey. Mama took me to school the next morning on August 10 for my first full day. I was such a big boy and love my new Ben-10 Backpack. If you aren't familiar with Ben-10, he is a boy named Ben Tennyson who can turn into 10 aliens. He lives on the Cartoon Network. I love him!

My cubby at school! My cubby has a key on it. I find the key to know where to put my backpack.

Playing dress-up in the kitchen with my classmate Aubrey.

Check out my Ben-10 backpack!

My mama is proud of me!

I loved going to the Dentist!

I got rid of all my sugar bugs! I went to the dentist for the first time and had a great time. What was really cool was that I got to watch cartoons while I was there on a flat screen tv. Mama said all she got to look at when she was little was a map of the world (Gigi, G-Daddy, Aunt Courtney, and Uncle Eric will laugh when they read that :)
Anyway, I digress.
My best buddy Wyle (Lyle Richardson) went with us and he videotaped the event. Mama took pictures, and I felt like a movie star. I really had a good time, and especially liked "Mr. Slurpee" which sucked all the water out of my mouth. I wanted to do that over and over again!
When we got home, I had fun "playing dentist" with Mama and Daddy as my "patients."

Happy 4th of July!

We had a really fun 4th of July at Lake Blackshear in Cordele, GA with our wonderful friends Charlene and Lee Hall, and Miss Sylvia, Mr. Chip, Ivey, Railey, and Pam and Roy Oliver and their three cute girls - Sarah, Rayden, and Alison. Mr. Lee and Mrs. Charlene have a beautiful home and it was all just too much fun! Here are some pictures of our day together spent on the lake - swimming, eating, and riding on the boat!

At the Movies with Wyle!

I just love my friend Lyle "Wyle" Richardson who is my 11 year old neighbor down the street. Mama took Wyle and me to see Ratatoille, and we had a great time. If you look closely you can see Ratatoille (what I call the rat!!) sitting with me watching the movie with us :) I also wore my Ratatoille t-shirt that Mama bought for me a the Disney Store in San Antonio!

The Braves and a visit to San Antonio

Mama and Daddy enjoyed a visit to watch the Braves lose in Atlanta with my Uncle Greg, Aunt Brenda, cousin Alison, and Alison's boyfriend Trey. They had a great time together especially since Daddy got them awesome seats IN THE SHADE! He was the hero! After the game, Ali took them all to a restaurant called "Six Feet Under" which is across from the cemetery where Bobby Jones of golf fame and Margaret Mitchell of Gone with the Wind fame are buried. Since our grandfather was a mortician, we knew he would have been proud of us for paying our respects - ha :)

Goofy redneck Braves fans were everywhere. This one let Mama take his picture -

Mama and Daddy then flew to San Antonio, Texas for a meeting he had there. It was our second visit to the city and to the Riverwalk. They enjoyed the scenery and ate way too much Mexican food.

They shopped at the marketplace and visited one of the best restaurants in town, Mi Tierra, where they got serenaded. They also enjoyed the Riverwalk, and there is a video below of it if you have never been there. It is very pretty but the water is not-all-that. At the Rivercenter Mall, Mama ran into her first cousin Craig Vincent from Lucedale, MS and his wife Dena. SMALL WORLD! She really enjoyed catching up with them!

Mama and Daddy flew back to Atlanta, then drove to Birmingham to GET ME! I had a GREAT TIME with my Aunt Courtney, Uncle John, and cousins John Neil and Rachel who live in Columbus, MS. Aunt Courtney got a special gift from San Antonio that was made in Mexico - imagine that! Thanks for playing with me so much and doing such fun things with me, including learning how to PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!!!!
