Happy Birthday to Keaton!

I had a wonderful birthday! Grandbob and Papa came to celebrate with us. We opened presents and had some delicious chocolate cake that Mama had decorated with long-stemmed maraschino cherries (my favorite!) and ice cream. I played with my new Playstation II game most of the afternoon! I am excited to be 7 years old.....

Cupcakes for my class

On Friday, September 4, Mama brought Power Ranger cupcakes for my class to enjoy in honor of my birthday! My birthdy is really September 7, but since that day was Labor Day this year and we were out of school, Mama brought them on Friday. My class sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me, and I loved it! I was so happy and excited! I love my class, and my wonderful teacher, Miss Bullington. I am learning so much in the 1st grade!

I'm in the FIRST GRADE!!!!

I am in the FIRST GRADE! It is GREAT! I have a wonderful teacher, Miss Bullington. Mama and Daddy went to the open house with me and Mama and I read a book together in the reading center. I didn't want to leave! After my wonderful first day of school, Mama took me for a special treat at one of my favorite places: SONIC!!!!

Another camping trip

We had a great camping trip on the weekend before school started. We went back to Little Ocmulgee State Park in McRae, GA. We went back for the second time since we reallyl like this State Park and it is pretty close to home. I had a fun time in the water park they have there, and Daddy and I did some hiking. Mama even found a good place to shop. So, we were all happy and can't wait for out next camping trip!!!!

A visit to Agricola

After Nene's funeral, we stayed a few days in Agricola and I had a big time playing with my cousins, going out to eat with both sets of grandparents, celebrating G-Daddy's birthday, and generally just having a great time like I always do!

My Nene

My Nene died on Monday, July 27 and we went to her funeral. I loved my great-grandmother very much! It was my first time to attend a visitation and funeral,and I know that Nene is okay and in heaven. I was concerned about what happened to her legs because I couldn't see them. I love you and miss you, Nene!

The 4th of July!

We enjoyed another wonderful July 4th with our friends at Lake Blackshear. We went out on a boat with Mr. Chip, Mrs. Sylvia, Ivey, and Railey, and had a great time - especially when they pulled us on the Big Bertha! Mrs. Charlene always has the most beautiful decorations and food - it is really a treat for everyone. And this year we took Georgia May with us. She was scared to death of the fireworks, but we went out on the boat and enjoyed them from out on the water. I'm proud to be an American :)
