St. Simons Island and Savannah

On the weekend of March 19, Grandbob and Papa drove over to Georgia from Mississippi to go on a special trip with us. Daddy was out of the country in Argentina, so this was a fun thing to do while he was gone!
Some highlights of our trip were a trolley tour, eating at Barbara Jean's, playing at the playground and on the beach, and spending time with our friends the Rowans who live on St. Simons Island. I even got some Superman ice-cream!!! Mama and spent the night at their house and Julia and I loved playing together! She loves pirates just like I do!
And speaking of pirates, we then went to Savannah, where we took another trolley tour (actually two - one was the TROLLEY OF THE DOOMED that I had been waiting 3 months to ride on - and loved it, by the way!), eating at the Pirates' House and meeting a REAL pirate-lady, getting ice cream and candy on River Street, and generally just enjoying beautiful downtown Savannah in the springtime. Forsyth Park was especially beautiful, and I loved playing on the playground there with many boys and girls.

"I'm a basketball superstar"

That was my comment when Mr. Mark presented me with my trophy for playing RA basketball this year. Mama and Daddy are trying to work with me on my self-esteem....

RA Racers

On Friday, March 5, we had our RA (Royal Ambassador) Racer event at my church. In the 1st-3rd grade Lad Division, my car "Road Burn" came in 1st place and I got a cool trophy! My dad and I really enjoy RA's, and I'm looking forward to our campout at Stone Mountain in April!

"Mr. Bones"

I had a special assignment in school where we were to find 100 things and glue them on a poster to commemorate our 100th day of school! I glued 100 q-tips on my poster to look like a big skeleton! I glued every single on them (Mama just helped me with my outline!) It was a lot of fun -

More Basketball!

We played basketball on Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the team we played with was Ty Ty Baptist. Mama liked this gym because she said her pictures turned out better! I scored two baskets when we were practicing at the free-throw line, and everybody clapped for me :) I am having a lot of fun. Oh, by the way, I'm the one in the red shorts.....;)

New Year's Trip to Ft. McAllister State Park and Savannah

On Jan. 1-4 of the new year (2010!!) we took a really fun (and really fun)camping trip to Ft. McAllister State Park and Savannah, GA. The State Park had a Civil War museum and historical site that were very interesting - I got to borrow a wooden gun to take with me to the earthworks that the soldiers built! We walked on the nature trail, too.

In Savannah, we visited Forsyth Park, Bonaventure Cemetery, River Street Candy Company (YUM!!!) and went to Wormsloe Historical Site that has a really beautiful entrance.

I love to camp!!!
