Fun at Aunt Courtney's!

We stayed at Aunt Courtney's when Mama went to her high school reunion the last weekend in July. I had so much fun (as usual!) and even started a rock band with John Neil and Charles Bradley - and of course swimming in the pool!

July 4 at the Lake

We enjoyed another great 4th of July with our friends the Halls and the Davises at Lake Blackshear! We took our camper and spent two nights there. "Bambino" was dressed up for the 4th - Mr. Lee saved her on the side of the road and she is having the time of her life being petted and admired by all :)

Mexico Beach!

The first week in June was a great time to go the beach! We stayed in a beautiful house in Mexico Beach and Daddy and his scuba diving friends slayed the red snapper! We got to go out on the boat, too, but not to scuba dive!!! We had a lot of fun playing on the beach and eating delicious seafood!!!

Ross Bridge Resort, Birmingham

After our trip to Amicalola State Park, we enjoyed a trip to Birmingham, AL with Daddy where we stayed in a really, really nice hotel :) Yay Daddy :) I enjoyed swimming in the huge pool and going down the slide 100s of times! The best part was that Aunt Courtney and John Neil came over and we had the best day together! We went out to eat and went to see Shrek 4 :) I was really sad to leave them but I knew that Kamp Keaton was just around the corner.....

School's Out Camping Trip

On the last day of school, Mama, Daddy, and I went on a camping trip to Amicalola Falls State Park in North Georgia. We had a great time hiking (I LOVE maps!) and seeing the beautiful falls. One reason we decided to go back (went went when I was really little and of course I don't remember it!) is that ever since going to see the movie "UP" I have wanted to visit a waterfull :) It was very exciting (I pretended I was Russell the Wilderness Adventurer. We went into Ellijay, GA one day and I discovered that I love antique stores (or maybe it was just that I was pretty successful finding some old Star Wars memorabilia!)We climbed the steps at the Falls which totaled over 1,200 - and I climbed every single one of them!!!! Oh, and we slept in a tent on this trip since it was way up in the mountains - I loved it and Mama said she will do it again - in about a year ;)

A giant pancake for lunch in Ellijay, GA!

Clemson

Mama and I enjoy going with Daddy on his UGA trips, and we enjoyed going with him to Clemson, SC. There are tigers everywhere on campus! We ate outside at a Greek restaurant (I had a hamburger!) and I enjoyed running around on this beaautiful lawn that used to be a parade ground many years ago. There was a really nice military memorial that Mama and Daddy enjoyed seeing (with a life-size soldier made of iron!!!)

RA Recognition

In May, I was very excited to get my RA vest! I really enjoyed being in 1st Grade RA's (Royal Ambassadors) at our church. I especially loved participating in the RA Racers event and going camping at Stone Mountain. We had a lock-in at church one night that was lots of fun, too. My daddy teaches in RA's and we are looking forward to more years doing the activities together!

I congratulated and "high fived" my friend Chad Jones who received the award "RA of the Year" for the first grade class. Way to go, Chad!

A spring camping trip.....

On Easter afternoon, we took our camper up to Hard Labor State Park which is in the cute little town of Rutledge, GA. Daddy had a meeting in Athens on Monday, so we enjoyed taking the trip up there with him! We played on the playground, told ghost stories around the campfire, played Star Wars (we were camping in the forest of Endor!)and Mama got to do some shopping in another cute nearby town called Madison. OH, and we had a special snack in the Red Caboose in Rutledge, which was very cool (but it just sat there on the railroad track and didn't go anywhere.....)

Easter 2010

This Easter we enjoyed the annual Easter egg hunt that our church does every year, and of course awaiting my surprises from the Easter Bunny! Happy Spring!!!

Look who showed up at our house....

When we got back from our trip to St. Simons and Savannah, we had a great surprise! This really nice white cat was in our yard looking for a home! I named him Bryson and we love him so much - he is fun to play with and has a great personality :) We even have a song we sing for him.."Bryson the Friendly Cat....." I just can't figure out why our other cat, Frosting, (who is solid white too, by the way) doesn't feel the same way we do.......
