Fort McHenry

We visited Fort McHenry, where the Star Spangled Banner was written, on Friday, October 12.  This was one of our favorite activities on our whole trip!  One of the best parts was when we watched the film about the man who wrote the Star Spangled Banner, and right at the end, the blinds were raised and we could look out at the Fort (o'er the ramparts!) and see our flag waving in the wind.  When we went to the Fort, we actually got to take part in the flag lowering and raising ceremony!
